X-WR-CALDESC:Join NASA’s Night Sky Network on Wednesday\, September 25\, at
6:00 PM Pacific Time (9:00 PM Eastern) with Dr. Bonnie Buratti where we’l
l learn more about Jupiter’s moon Europa\, and what NASA’s Europa Clipper
mission will investigate upon arrival in 2030.\n\nEuropa is one of the fou
r moons of Jupiter discovered by Galileo in 1610. It almost certainly harb
ors a salty ocean underneath a thick ice crust. This ocean has all the req
uirements for a habitable zone where primitive life could potentially thri
ve: liquid water\, energy in the form of chemical potentials\, and organic
molecules. Although Europa Clipper isn’t a life-detection mission\, it is
NASA’s first detailed exploration of an ocean world with an overarching g
oal of searching for a habitable zone. It will also study the geology\, in
terior\, and composition of Europa.\n\nLive Stream YouTube link below
