 amajek \n\nDr. Eric E. Mamajek is a principal scientist at the NASA Jet Pr
 opulsion Laboratory in Pasadena\, CA\, and since 2016 he has served as the
  Deputy Program Chief Scientist for the NASA Exoplanet Exploration Program
 \, managed by JPL for the Astrophysics Division of the NASA Science Missio
 n Directorate. Eric grew up on an Appaloosa horse farm in Pennsylvania and
  earned his B.S. in astronomy and astrophysics at Penn State\, an M.Sc. in
  physics from the University of New South Wales/ADFA\, and his M.S. and Ph
 .D. in astronomy from the University of Arizona. He was previously a Clay 
 Postdoctoral Fellow at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics\, A
 ssociate Astronomer for the National Optical Astronomy Observatory at Cerr
 o Tololo Inter-American Observatory in Chile\, and Professor of Physics & 
 Astronomy at University of Rochester\, where he worked with students on ob
 servational astronomy research related to the formation and evolution of e
 xoplanetary systems and their host stars. Eric is currently co-chair of th
 e Habitable Worlds Observatory Science Working Group on Target Stars & Sys
 tems. Eric is also active in the International Astronomical Union\, having
  founded the IAU Working Group on Star Names in 2016\, and co-chairing the
  2019 and 2022 IAU NameExoWorlds exoplanet public naming campaigns.
