Nicolas Flagey

Dr. Nicolas Flagey has spent more than 6 years in Hawaii (2013-2020), working almost exclusively for the Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope Corporation (CFHT) and its project to transform its 3.6m telescope into a 10m class massively multiplexed observatory dedicated to visible and infrared spectroscopy. As part of this work and his leadership in the operational aspect of the project, Nicolas and multiple colleagues at CFHT attempted to estimate the carbon footprint of the observatory for the year 2019.
