Speaker and Panelist Biographies

Richelle Tanner

Dr. Richelle Tanner is an Assistant Professor of Environmental Science & Policy at Chapman University studying the socio-ecological impacts of climate change on community resilience. She works in coastal aquatic ecosystems, mainly in California, engaging in research spanning ecology, physiology, genetics, communications science, and risk management. She is dedicated to using her science to increase equitable advocacy for climate action in our communities. Dr. Tanner is also the Science Director at the National Network for Ocean and Climate Change Interpretation.
