Brian Ransom
Brian Ransom is an 11-year veteran Senior Financial Analyst. Brian’s career in finance began as the Research Director at Signature Wealth Management Group (SWMG), contributing over nine years of expertise in investment research and portfolio management, building the SWMG research process from the ground up. He holds an MBA in Finance from the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia, underscoring his commitment to analytical excellence and fiduciary responsibility in wealth management. Brian is currently a Senior Financial Analyst at OneDigital.
Brian’s path to finance was preceded by a scientific career: he holds an undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and a graduate degree in Molecular Genetics from Kansas State University, where he spent nearly a decade conducting original research on parasitic DNA development and neural genetics.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Brian notably relaunched the Lake Lanier Junior Rowing Club in 2012. Starting from scratch, Brian recruited, coached, and built a competitive rowing team for High Schoolers in the Hall County area of Georgia. Brian has been fascinated with astronomy from a young age and has his own Celestron telescope, where he frequently spots astronomical events from his back porch while drinking an ice-cold beer.
