Jr Board Fellow, 2023

Jack Lubin, PhD, is a postdoctoral researcher in the Division of Astronomy and Astrophysics at UCLA. He studies exoplanet detection and characterization, with a specialty in the radial velocity (RV) technique. In particular, he has focused on the problem of disentangling stellar activity induced RV signals from planetary RV signals. In addition to astronomy research, he enjoys astronomy outreach and science communication as a contributor to the Astrobites blog. He also has a fondness for observing and has logged over 50 nights of telescope time with Keck Observatory’s 10-meter telescopes. Beyond astronomy, he is an avid New York Yankees fan, enjoys bicycling to the beach in SoCal to read science fiction books, and likes to relax at the driving range with friends, working on our golf swings.
