Registration Instructions

We recommend reading these instructions carefully prior to filling out the Registration Form. It will help inform you of what information you need prior to filling out the multi-page online form.

ASP Members:

Existing Members: Logging into your MyASP account is not required. Simply select the ASP Member Registration fee during registration. Only one member can register at a time. If you are a member but you are also signing up for additional registrations, simply add as many Non-Member Registrants as needed. Only one payment method will be allowed. If you cannot remember the email you use for Membership, or if you are a current member and you can not register, please contact us before you begin registration: or 415-715-1400.

New or Returning Members: If you join the ASP or renew an outdated membership, please allow 24 hours prior to registering for the conference. Or you can contact us during the day at 415-715-1400 or by email:

Form of Payment: We accept credit card payment (American Express, Discover, MasterCard, or VISA) and are using the PayPal service. You do not need a PayPal account and you are not signing up to be a PayPal user. We are only using the transfer of funds service. We also accept payment by check or credit card payment by phone. Simply register and select "other payment" and you will receive directions. Your registration(s) will not be valid until we receive payment.

Scholarships: Scholarship funds have been designated for Astro 101 instructors at community colleges and other colleges that do not have funds for professional development, as well as for teachers of high-school astronomy courses. Part-time (adjunct) college instructors are also eligible.  Priority will be given to those presenting at the conference. Only a limited number of scholarships are available. Those who apply but are not selected for a scholarship will be eligible for the ASP 2020 early-bird or advance registration rate depending on the date you applied.

Additional Fees: We are offering an ASP Conference Series publication for this special ASP2020: A Virtual Conference. If you register, you will be able to make an advanced purchase for a reduced fee of $40. After the conference, the title will be available to purchase when available for $88.

Confirmation: At the end of the registration process all registrants will receive a confirmation email as well as the opportunity to print a copy of the submission data.

Schedule and Mailing List:  As a registrant you will be on our conference mailing list that will include a receipt confirmation of your registration as well as emails notifying attendees of the meeting schedule, plenary and workshop/meeting speakers as well as any other details necessary to enjoy the 3-day conference.

Conference Recordings: All sessions of the 3-day conference will be recorded and available after the conference for registrants to view for up to 60 days. You must be registered for the conference and the recordings will not be available to share or download.

Refund Policy: Attendance Fees and special conference pricing of the ASP Conference Series are refundable with an administrative fee of $10 per attendee to cover processing and administrative expenses, if made before Wednesday, December 2nd at 5pm PT.
