Registration

Registration is now closed. July 21, 8:59pm ET was the deadline to register. Onsite registration will not be available.

Registrant Access to the Symposium via the Attendee Portal

Every registrant, including presenters, will receive a welcome email the morning of July 22 with a link to the ASP2021 Summer Symposium Attendee Portal. All presenters and attendees can navigate the program listings, peruse the available sessions, and read the abstracts. When you click on a session, you will be given a link to “join” the session zoom live, even in progress. If you did not receive an email, first check your Spam filter. Please contact us at any time if you can not find this email. meeting@astrosociety.org

Important Access Tips: You can only use one device to access your Attendee Portal with a single sign on. Your link and Attendee Portal is not shareable, nor will you be able to switch from one device to the other after you sign on.

Recordings of Sessions

If you registered, but can not attend, all ASP2021 sessions will be video recorded and available soon after the conference as we upload and organize the video sessions. When done, we will send out an email to all conference registrants giving access to the videos and chats on the conference platform for 6 months. The videos will be accessible, but not shareable.

Jill Tarter Event

This exciting event with the Co-founder of the SETI Institute  is opening up the Symposium the evening before on Thursday, July 22 at 5pm PT.  This is a public talk and open to Symposium registrants through the Attendee Portal with an exclusive discussion after the talk. The first hour however is open to the public for free with a requested donation via YouTube streaming. Please invite your friends and colleagues!

Scholarships

In an effort that anyone can attend this Symposium, we are offering scholarships to attend.  Limited applications were accepted through July 20.

Receiving Emails After Registration

All emails confirming registration or sending out links to your Symposium Portal for the July 22nd event and the July 23 day symposium, will be coming from ASP Conference Customer Service meeting@astrosociety.org via eventrebels.com – There is a possibility there emails can land in your SPAM folders. Please make sure to either check your SPAM folder or set your filter to allow for emails from this address.

Breaks and Networking

There are 15-minute breaks between each session. If a session is in 2 parts, that Zoom room will remain open during the break. There are also 2 opportunities to network, 12:15n PT – 1:15pm PT and the end of the Symposium. We will be providing a Zoom room with a Moderator and themed Breakout Rooms. These rooms will close on time.
