Exploring the Art, Culture, and Science of Solar Eclipses

ASP2023: A Virtual Conference

About the Conference

ASP2023 was held online on August 18 to prepare the astronomy community and public to our two upcoming solar eclipses crossing the Northern Hemisphere; the Annular Solar Eclipse on October 14, 2023, and the Total Solar Eclipse on April 8, 2024.

Astro 101 instructors, K-12 educators, scientists, science communicators, public engagement professionals in astronomy, and the general public were treated to a day of feature talks and panels as well as smaller group discussions explored perspectives about solar eclipses through art, culture, history, and science.
