China: Great Saros 136 Total Solar Eclipse

July 13-26, 2009
Join us for a celebration of one of the many long-duration total solar eclipses of Saros 136.

This 2-week journey includes a 7-day cruise, a visit to Beijing, the Forbidden City, Great Wall, and Xian for the noble warriors. On July 22, 2009 totality crosses China along the Yangtze River for over 5 minutes. Distinguished astronomical enrichment program will offer the finest in lectures and activities.

Siberian Total Solar Eclipse & Grand Waterways of the Czars

July 18 - August 2, 2008
Join us for a journey to Russia and Siberia that crosses Russia from St. Petersburg to Moscow aboard the river vessel, Viking Kirov, before traveling to Novosibirsk, Siberia for the total solar eclipse.

The forested, storybook villages and quaint towns of Yaroslavl, Uglich, and Kizhi are also visited. The included shore excursions are filled with grand monuments and opera houses, opulent palaces, fortified monasteries and beautiful cathedrals along the waterways only open to the public since 1991.

Distinguished lecturers, Executive Director James Manning from the ASP, and Research Scientist Michelle Thaller from the California Institute of Technology, will provide astronomical enrichment programs prior to eclipse day on August 1.

Siberia Total Eclipse and Baltic Voyage

July 29 - August 9, 2008
The eclipse journey to Siberia and Baltic cruise aboard the Regent Seven Seas VOYAGER is filled with grand monuments and opulent palaces.

There are multiple days and nights in St. Petersburg, with optional touring of Peter & Paul Fortress and the Hermitage in St. Petersburg. The tour/cruise takes you to storybook villages and towns.
