Mike Smail
In his role as the Adler Planetarium’s Senior Director of Theaters and Visualization, Mike Smail leads a team of science communicators, visualizers, and technical experts who connect people to the universe and to each other in the Adler’s two dome theaters, and other digital museum spaces. He also manages production of the Adler’s award-winning planetarium shows and handles global licensing and distribution of both Adler and licensed IP fulldome content. Mike also currently serves as the International Planetarium Society’s Treasurer and the Great Lakes Planetarium Association’s President-Elect. No matter the use case, Mike delights in creating unique immersive environments that satisfy the needs and exceed the expectations of audiences.
