Early Bird Scholarship Rate: you must have submitted an abstract and completed the scholarship application by July 22
Updated extension: Early Bird Scholarship registration must be completed by August 7 8:59pm PT. If you have a presentation, you will not be able to attend unless you register. If you miss the cut off to register, the rate will increase to $84 (late fee) through August 18.

A promotional code will be given to accepted applicants to register at the reduced rate.

Registration Instructions

We recommend reading these instructions carefully prior to completing the Registration Form so that you know what information is necessary prior to filling out the multi-page online form.

Discounts:

• Save! JOIN THE ASP as a Community Supporter (monthly or yearly) and join a community passionate about astronomy education and making a difference in science literacy. ASP Community Supporters receive a special 20% discount for this ASP2024 on both Early Bird and Regular registration fees.

Important note: If you join or renew your Community Partnership at the Supporter level, please allow 24 hours prior to registering for the conference. Or you can contact us during the day at 415-715-1400 or by email: membership@astrosociety.org.

• Are you a ASP Legacy Member or Legacy Supporter's Circle Member? Simply select the ASP Member Registration fee during registration. Only one member can register at a time. If you are a member but you are also signing up for additional registrations, simply add as many Non-Legacy Member Registrants as needed. Only one payment method will be allowed. If you cannot remember the email you use for Membership, or if you are a current legacy member and you can not register, please contact us before you begin registration: membership@astrosociety.org or 415-715-1400. Important note: If you recently renewed your legacy membership as a new ASP Partner, there are no longer any discounts to our conferences. If you renewed or joined the ASP as a Community Supporter, you qualify for the 20% discounted rate

• Scholarships: The ASP is offering partial scholarships available for astronomy educators who do not have funds for professional development. Priority will be given to those presenting at the conference. Only a limited number of scholarships are available. Once you are accepted you will be given a link to apply at the reduced rate prior to the Early Bird July 31 deadline. Scholarship registration at the Early Bird rate ($59) closes on August 7, 8:59pm PT. If you register after this date, the scholarship rate will be $84. As of July 31, scholarships are no longer being accepted

Additional Conference Proceedings included in your conference registration: We are including with registration an ASP Conference Series digital-only publication for this special ASP2024: A Virtual Conference.

Form of Payment: We accept credit card payment (American Express, Discover, MasterCard, or VISA). We also accept payment by check or credit card payment by phone. Simply register and select "other payment" and you will receive directions. Purchase Orders for academic institutions are also accepted in the same way. Your registration(s) will not be valid until we receive payment.

Confirmation of Registration: At the end of the registration process all registrants will receive a confirmation email as well as the opportunity to print a copy of the submission data. A separate payment confirmation email will be sent to the bill payment email address.

Conference Video Recordings: As a convenience for those who attend from different time zones, or whose schedules do not allow for attendance easily, all sessions of the 3-day conference will be recorded and available after the conference for registrants to view through December 31, 2025. You must be registered for the conference in order to obtain access, and the recordings will not be available to share or download.

Refund Policy: Attendance Fees are refundable with an administrative fee of $10 per attendee to cover processing and administrative expenses, if made before Sunday, August 18 at 5pm PT.
