Free Live NSN Webinar Series: Finding Aliens on Earth with Dr. Miguel Á. Fernández

Thursday, January 25, 6pm PDT/9pm EDT
Live Stream YouTube Webinar - Free

Join the NASA Night Sky Network on Thursday, January 25, at 6:00 PM Pacific Time (9:00 PM Eastern) along with Dr. Miguel Á. Fernández on this journey through extraterrestrial places without leaving your home!

Finding life outside of Earth is one of the most interesting topics of Planetary Science. Is life possible on other planets? If so, on which ones? What would it be like, and what would they use as an energy source?

About Miguel Á. Fernández:

Miguel Á. Fernández is a Microbial Ecologist specialized in extremophiles, Astrobiology, and instrumentation development. He is currently working as a postdoctoral fellow of the ‘María Zambrano’ Excellence Program at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (Spain), where he is conducting studies focused on Antarctic lakes, Atacama Desert soils, Iberian temporary salty lakes, and Río Tinto River sediments. Previously, he worked at Centro de Astrobiología (CAB) in Spain and at McGill University in Montreal (Canada), carrying out similar research, along with the development of space exploratory instruments, such as SOLID (Signs Of LIfe Detector) at CAB and MICROLife detection platform at McGill U.

The event will be streaming live on YouTube, but please note that questions asked over the NSN-members-only Zoom Q&A will be prioritized.
